SB 6, 36th R.S.
Relating to providing for the purchase and distribution by the State of free textbooks to the public school children of the State of Texas, making it the duty of the State Board of Education to purchase such books from a fund set aside each year out of the available school fund of the State; fixing a penalty for a violation of the Act and providing that the furnishing to the pupil of free textbooks shall not begin under this Act until the commencement of the scholastic year of 1919-20.
