Relating to the management and investment of the permanent school fund, including authorizing the creation of the Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation to manage and invest the fund and limiting the authority of the School Land Board to manage and invest the fund if the corporation is created.

Remarks: This Act takes effect September 1, 2021, except Article 2 takes effect December 31, 2022, but only if the State Board of Education incorporates the Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation under Subchapter B, Chapter 43, Education Code, as added by this Act, on or before that date. If the State Board of Education does not incorporate the Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation on or before December 31, 2022, Article 2 has no effect.
