• Ascertain and report to the Senate and House of Representatives the amount of appropriation necessary to finish grading the Capitol grounds and ornamenting the same with the necessary shrubbery and trees, and place a neat and substantial iron fence around said grounds, and report the amount of appropriation necessary to keep in proper repair the new Capitol building.
• Investigate the cost of properly wiring the Capitol building, with all necessary fixtures, with the view of placing electric lights in said building.
