HB 6 Caption: Relating to concerning the hospitalization, commitment, care, observation and treatment of the mentally ill, including persons of unsound mind, and their status; imposing certain responsibilities upon the Board for Texas State Hospitals and Special Schools and Texas State Department of Health; providing penalties for violations; providing the Act shall take effect on January 1, 1958.
HB 110 Caption: Relating to amending, clarifying and making more certain the laws pertaining to contents, issuance, service, and return of writs, notices, and citations in probate proceedings; to define more clearly the laws applicable to independent executors.
HB 187 Caption: Relating to dealing with weight limits of motor vehicles and combinations thereof.
HB 217 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts providing alternate method of paying franchise taxes by Public Utilities.
HB 219 Caption: Relating to repealing the Securities Act of Texas and the Insurance Securities Act of Texas; providing for the regulation of the sale of securities, this new act to be known as "The Securities Act"; creating the office of Securities Commissioner; providing for a Deputy Securities Commissioner and delegation of authorities of commissioner to him.

HB 277 Caption: Relating to leasing the Texas Hall of State Building located in the City of Dallas, situated in Fair Park, a park owned by the City of Dallas.
HB 327 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts relative to method of sale of oil and gas lease on University lands.

HB 421 Caption: Relating to authorizing the issuance of refunding bonds by school districts and containing provisions relating to such bonds.
HB 424 Caption: Relating to providing that if any political subdivision, in the exercise of any power possessed by such subdivision, makes necessary the relocation, raising, re-routing or changing grade of or altering the construction of any highway, railroad, electric transmission line, telephone or telegraph property or facility, or pipeline, all such necessary relocation, raising, re-routing changing of grade or alteration of construction shall be accomplished at the sole expense of such political subdivision.

HB 495 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by including the Veterans Administration and the Administrator of Veterans Affairs in the exemption from security and bond requirements in actions brought in the courts of this State.

HB 20 Caption: Relating to creating Trinity River Authority of Texas, as a conservation and reclamation district; authorizing the governing body of the district to make rules and regulations and prescribe penalties for the violation thereof.
HB 24 Caption: Relating to amending the Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways by adding to the present law a provision allowing one (1) motor vehicle to draw not more than two (2) vehicles by the dual saddle mount method.
HB 28 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes so as to provide for a different standard for fixing the amount of the bond required for the surviving husband or wife to qualify as administrator of community property when the other spouse is insane than the standard required when the other spouse is dead.
HB 226 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes relating to the franchise tax imposed on corporations.
HB 246 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum rate of tax to be levied for the maintenance purposes in school districts in Texas to an amount not to exceed One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) on the One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) property valuation; providing for a vote of the people before such tax may be levied; providing for the issuance of bonds for the purchase, construction, repair, or equipment of public free schools not to exceed ten per cent (10%) of the total tax valuation of the district.
HB 261 Caption: Relating to making uniform the law of limited partnership; defining the rights, duties, and obligations of limited partners to each other and to others during the existence of limited partnership upon its dissolutions.
HB 327 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts authorizing the appointment of a Purchasing Agent and prescribing his duties and salary, prescribing the mode, manner and method by which supplies, material, equipment and machinery may be purchased and making it a misdemeanor and a violation of the law and affixing a penalty for the violation of the provisions relative thereto.
HB 372 Caption: Relating to authorizing any independent school district of this State having a scholastic population of 25,000 or more according to the last preceding scholastic census or enumeration, to levy a maintenance tax of not exceeding $1.50 on the $100.00 of assessed value of taxable property when authorized by election.
HB 462 Caption: Relating to the admission of feeble minded persons to the Austin State School.
HB 516 Caption: Relating to permitting any employee, official or deputy of the State of Texas or any County or any subdivision of either State or County, to authorize his employer to withhold from his salary contributions to a United Fund Appeals or Community Chest; providing that such authorization must be voluntary and in writing.
HB 533 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts to provide that the fee for a Certified Copy of a "Duplicate Original" or a Certified Copy of an "Original" for a lost or destroyed Certificate of Title be One Dollar ($1.00); providing that Thirty-Five cents shall be retained by the designated agent and that the remaining Sixty-Five cents shall be forwarded to the Department; providing a saving clause as to constitutionality; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 572 Caption: Relating to the manufacture and sale of bedding; permitting the use of tags made of material other than cloth.
HB 618 Caption: Relating to defining Pension Trusts; providing that Pension Trusts are Trusts within the meaning of the Texas Trust Act; to provide that such Pension Trusts shall not be deemed perpetuities nor unreasonable accumulations; to declare the effect of this Act upon Pension Trusts created under the Laws of this State and those created elsewhere; to express the intent of the Legislature in passing this Act.
HB 795 Caption: Relating to making it the duty of the Highway Commission to determine the maximum gross weight in excess of 58,420 pounds, but not exceeding 64,650 pounds, at which commercial motor vehicles and combinations thereof, while being used exclusively to haul certain products may be operated on highways and parts thereof without materially lessening the life expectancy or materially increasing the maintenance cost thereof; naming such products; defining terms; setting forth the powers and duties of the Commission in connection with such findings; providing for amendment or modification of such findings and orders; setting forth the terms and conditions under which it shall not be in violation of the gross weight limit for commercial motor vehicles to operate with a gross weight limit over 58, 420 pounds, but not exceeding the limit fixed by the Commission when used exclusively to transport the products named herein; providing for registration of such vehicles and the payment of fees therefor; prohibiting gross weights in excess of limits fixed by Commission; providing penalties for violation of the terms of this Act; providing a savings clause.
HB 966 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by authorizing the Texas Turnpike Authority to use and to contract indebtedness against revenues of a Turnpike Project for the purpose of paying expenses (not exceeding $200,000.00) for studies of any other Turnpike Project, subject to the provisions and restrictions contained in any Trust Agreement affecting such revenues; enacting other provisions related to said subject; providing for precedence of this Act over conflicting laws.

HB 240 Caption: Relating to amending the Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways, by adding to the present law a provision allowing one (1) motor vehicle to draw not more than two (2) vehicles by the dual saddle mount method.
HB 262 Caption: Relating to amending the Election Code of The State of Texas, so as to eliminate the provision prohibiting members of the regular military establishments of the United States from voting in this State.
HB 362 Caption: Relating to amending S.B. 195, Acts of the Regular Session of the 43rd Legislature, 1933, Chapter 135, providing an additional Congressional District, naming the counties composing same; providing for election of a member of the Congress of the United States from such district.
HB 385 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code so as to authorize the State Highway Department to pay out of the State Highway Fund all expenses incurred in administering the Certificate of Title Act.
HB 570 Caption: Relating to authorizing and empowering the Board of Regents of The University of Texas, without cost or expense to the State of Texas or The University of Texas, to lease portions of land in Dallas County, Texas, deeded to the State of Texas by Southwestern Medical Foundation, to nonprofit organizations for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating hospitals, dormitories and housing facilities.
HB 650 Caption: Relating to adopting a Uniform Limited Partnership Act providing for the establishment of limited partnerships and the rights, powers and liabilities of such partnerships and the members thereof.
HB 744 Caption: Relating to amending Article 3945, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, to provide for higher fees in connection with protesting bills of exchange and protesting other instruments.
