HB 33 Caption: Relating to making certain adjustments in the incorporation, organization, regulation, and operation of life, health or accident insurance companies subject to the provisions of the Insurance Code.
HB 180 Caption: Relating to regulating transportation of persons for hire or compensation over the public roads, highways, and bridges of this State whether as a common carrier, contract or charter carrier, or as a transportation agency or as a bureau, or as a broker for hire to obtain a co-traveler or co-travelers to share the expense of the trip proposed or otherwise, or to act as an intermediary in connection therewith, or as a broker for hire, agent or otherwise, unless the motor vehicle used in connection therewith is properly equipped with license plate issued by the Railroad Commission of Texas under the laws of the State of Texas.
HB 265 Caption: Relating to creating the Texas Commission on Higher Education; providing for the appointment and organization of such Commission; authorizing said Commission to employ a Director and other necessary personnel; providing for advisors to said Commission; providing certain duties of said Commission; providing a repealing clause.

HB 129 Caption: Relating to applying to school districts located wholly or partially within counties of more than one hundred and sixty-five thousand (165,000) inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal Census and repealing all laws or parts of laws which provide that territory or other property annexed by an incorporated city or town thereupon becomes or shall become a part of any such school district; providing that no board, agency, officer, city governing body or other authority shall have authority to add or annex any such territory or property to any such school district.
HB 757 Caption: Relating to creating a County Criminal Court for Tarrant County, Texas, prescribing the jurisdiction, powers, and terms thereof.
HJR 39 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment providing for the improved support of The University of Texas and The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas from a source other than tax revenue of the State of Texas by providing for the investment of the Permanent University Fund in corporation bonds, preferred and common stocks.

HB 71 Caption: Relating to authorizing Investigators of the State Board of Medical Examiners to be paid a salary not to exceed Forty-eight Hundred Dollars ($4800) per year during the remainder of the biennium ending August 31, 1955; making a supplementary appropriation to the Board of Medical Examiners for travel expense during the remainder of the biennium ending August 31, 1955.
