Haynes, on or about the eleventh day of July, 1941, at the intersection of two (2) lateral highways in Jones County, Texas, known as the McChristian Road and the road known as the Compress Road, while the said Haynes was in the discharge of his duties as an highway road overseer and engaged at said time in his capacity as road overseer and employed by the Highway Department of Texas on the State road running from the City of Stamford to the City of Anson in Jones County, Texas.
