(1) RIPLEY, TEXAS was in northwestern Titus County. Its post office was established in 1872, and by 1914 it ceased to exist as a named community. A second RIPLEY, TEXAS was formed in 1912 in Titus County and ceased to exist by 1984. Handbook of Texas Online .
