SB 38 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes relating to members of the State Banking Board.
SB 39 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes so as to change the compensation of the Banking Commissioner.
SB 57 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing that whenever any person shall procure the issuance of a policy of insurance or of an annuity contract on his or her life in any legal reserve life insurance company, the payment by the company of the proceeds of the policy or of the annuity contract becoming due on the death of the insured or of the annuitant in accordance with its terms prior to the receipt by such company from all liability under the policy or annuity contract.
SB 58 Caption: Relating to validating all subdivisions and detachments of territory from common school districts and common county line school districts and the annexation thereof to contiguous independent school districts, validating the enlarged independent school districts resulting therefrom and conferring upon such independent districts all the powers possessed in their original stats or by other independent school districts.
SB 124 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, striking out each of said sections and substituting in lieu thereof new sections, so as to provide for the examination and licensing of master and journeymen gas fitters and to provide for the issuance of licenses without examination to master plumbers, journeymen plumbers, plumbing inspectors, master-employing gas fitters and journeymen gas fitters who now hold licenses, from any city examining and supervising Board.

SB 208 Caption: Relating to providing for regulation of life insurance and health and accident insurance issued in connection with loan transactions; repealing all laws or parts of laws in conflict with this Act to the extent of such conflict; declaring the provisons of this Act to be severable.

SB 247 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, making it unlawful for any person to engage in the practice of a hairdresser or cosmetologist or to operate a cosmetological school without having first obtained a certificate of registration; providing penalties and punishments thereof; providing a repealing and a saving clause.
SB 288 Caption: Relating to providing that upon publication and posting of notice as therein prescribed by any person, firm, unincorporated association, group of persons, or corporation, engaged in mining and producing any mineral or minerals that the signer, or signers, of the notice is, or are mining and producing the mineral, or minerals, under claim of ownership as against all persons, excepting those, if any, who may be excepted by name in the notice.
SB 289 Caption: Relating to defining and determining the responsibility and liability of a co-tenant or co-owner to other co-tenants or co-owners when the former mines and produces any mineral which is solid in its natural state underground, but which is mined and production by converting same to a fluid state underground and bringing same to the surface in such state.
SB 290 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, concerning the amount of taxes on certain coin operated machines; repealing all laws in conflict; providing a savings clause.
SB 291 Caption: Relating to authorizing and directing counties to pay their contributors to Retirement, Disability and Death Compensation Funds out of the fund from which each officer or employee is paid.
SB 292 Caption: Relating to donating and granting to the Dallas County Flood Control District all of the State ad valorem taxes that may be collected for general revenue purposes upon property located within said District and from persons therein, for a period of twenty years, commencing September 1, 1949, not to exceed, however, the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) per annum; providing that, if any part of of this Act shall be held unconstitutional, such decision will not affect the remaining part of the Act.
SB 293 Caption: Relating to relinquishing and granting unto adjacent land owners the title to beds and channels of all abandoned rivers, streams and other channels that have been or may hereafter be abandoned by reason of the relocation of the bed or channels of such rivers and streams by flood control districts, drainage districts, or levee improvements districts under an approved plan of reclamation; defining certain terms.
SB 294 Caption: Relating to providing for the appointment of official court reporters in and for the County Courts at Law and the County Criminal Courts in counties in which there now exits, Law and one or more County Criminal Courts at Law and one or more County Criminal Courts; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
SB 442 Caption: Relating to amending previous Acts, providing for payment of an annual occupation tax and other maintenance fees, charges and tax and other maintenance fees, charges and taxes by Mexican Insurance Companies writing automobile accident and other insurance coverage in the State of Texas effective only in the Republic of Mexico, and providing for the making of annual adapted reports; repealing all laws and parts of laws to the extent of any conflict.
SB 458 Caption: Relating to validating certain orders of Boards of Directors of Water Control and Improvement Districts which have installed and are operating water distribution systems and sewer collection and disposal plants and which have issued ad valorem bonds on such systems payable also out of revenues therefrom and which districts have been enlarged by such orders granting petitions of landowners filed with said districts that lands described in such petitions be added to said districts.
SB 465 Caption: Relating to requiring Cities and Towns, including Home Rule Cities, which heretofore have issued, or hereafter may issue, bonds payable from revenues of any City-owned utilities to file with the State Auditor an operating statement containing certain information in respect to the income and expenses of such Systems, so long as the net revenues are pledged to pay principal or interest of Revenue Bonds.
SB 480 Caption: Relating to creating one additional District Court for Dallas County, Texas.
SB 492 Caption: Relating to providing and making a transfer of the money now in the State Treasury in the Chiropractic Examiners Fund Account No. 140, the amount being a sum of Fourteen Thousand, Two Hundred Fourteen and 02/100 ($14,214.02) Dollars, to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners created by the 51st Legislature and appropriating said Fourteen Thousand, Two Hundred Fourteen and 02/100 ($14,214.02) Dollars and all fees coming into the Chiropractic Examiners Fund, to be used by said Board in defraying its expenses and carrying out the provisions of House Bill No. 721, Acts of the 51st Legislature, 1949.
SCR 38 Caption: Directing the State Fire Insurance Commission to investigate possible fire hazards in State Institutions.

SB 19 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes relating to venue of personal injury suits against railroads.
SB 48 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code relating to work and vacation of firemen and policemen in certain cities; fixing the hours that shall constitute a legal day's work in fire and police departments; providing penalties.
SB 49 Caption: Relating to prohibiting banks doing business in this State from charging or deducting any sum for the payment of, or the collection from itself of, or the remittance for, checks or drafts drawn upon them by their depositors; providing penalties.
SB 50 Caption: Relating to providing for the creation of a lien by written agreement between a factor and borrower, as defined therein, upon merchandise, as defined therein, in the custody or possession, or that may come into the custody or possession, of the borrower; providing that if any provision of this Act be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect any other provisions.
SB 51 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, by providing that corporations may be formed for the protection and advancement of the professional interests of persons licensed to practice law, the advancement of justice and the science of jurisprudence, the encouragement of cordial intercourse among lawyers, and the improvement of the relations between the Bench and Bar and the public with power to provide and maintain suitable buildings for the conduct of their activities.
SB 55 Caption: Relating to authorizing, empowering and directing the State Board of Control to purchase site for and construct a State Cancer and Pellagra Hospital at Dallas, Texas; making an appropriation.
SB 57 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, restricting the amount of annual salaries, compensation, or emolument which may be paid to officers, directors, or trustees of domestic life insurance companies without prior approval of the Board of Directors.
SB 58 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, so as to provide that the payment by a legal reserve life insurance company of the death proceeds of a policy or annuity contract to the person last designated by the insured or annuitant as the beneficiary shall discharge the insurance company from all liability under policy or annuity contract.
SB 79 Caption: Relating to defining and regulating the practice of Chiropractic; creating the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners; to repeal all laws in conflict; to provide that if any part is held unconstitutional it shall not invalidate any other part.
SB 80 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, regulating the maximum height of vehicles unladen or with load.
SB 81 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes to enlarge the definition of the term "motor carrier" to include the transportation of motor vehicles on their own power of by the tow bar, saddle mount, or other similar method.
SB 82 Caption: Relating to amending the statutes of the State of Texas relating to the computation of the reserves on policies and contracts issued by life insurance companies.
SB 83 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes relative to what a policy of life insurance shall contain; and providing that this Act shall take effect January 1, 1948.
SB 121 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, making it the duty of the Board of Control or such agency as at any time may have the responsibility to prescribe rules for correctional discipline at Gatesville State School for Boys, Gatesville State School for Girls and all other such institutions; prescribing penalties; enacting other provisions relating to the subject.
SB 171 Caption: Relating to amending certain acts by providing that members of the Fire Department, Police Department and the Fire Alarm Operating Department of a city or town coming under the provisions of this Act, and who have been in the armed service of the United States during World War II, shall be entitled upon complying with the requirements of this Act, to share the benefits of the Firemen and Policemen's Funds and all other benefits provided by the Policemen and Firemen's Pension Fund; providing a saving clause.
SB 172 Caption: Relating to regulating traffic or travel upon the highways of the State of Texas; prescribing penalties for violation of the provisions of this Act; containing a saving clause.
SB 195 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, relating to credit unions, loan and investments in corporations, conditions of loans and dividends.
SB 205 Caption: Relating to creating a more efficient road system for Dallas County; prescribing penalties; making this Act cumulative with other laws on the subject; providing a saving and a repealing clause.
SB 237 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for clearance and redevelopment of blighted areas in accordance with redevelopment plan; providing that, if any provisions of this Act is held invalid, the remainder of the Act, other than those as to which it is held invalid, shall not be affected thereby; providing that insofar as the provisions of this Act are inconsistent with the provisions of any other, this Act shall control.
SB 238 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, so as to properly number the sections and subsections of said Act and to remove conflicts with other laws and conflicts within the Act.

SB 364 Caption: Relating to authorizing the separation or divorcement of public schools from municipal control in certain extended municipal school districts pursuant to an election to be held for that purpose; providing that if any section or part of this Act is held unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this Act; providing that this Act shall not repeal any existing law.
SB 392 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code by fixing the standard of weight for bread to be sold by the loaf made by bakers engaged in the business of wholesaling and retailing bread.

HB 206 Caption: Relating to providing that agreements between merchants, to reduce the sales price of merchandise, shall not be unlawful.
HB 485 Caption: Relating to amending certain Articles of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; providing that inquests in certain counties shall be held when a person dies and there has been no doctor in attendance available to sign a death certificate, making it unlawful for any person to remove the body of any person found dead under such circumstances as to lead to suspicion that such deceased came to his death by unlawful means, fixing the fees of Justices of the Peace holding inquests and providing that such fees shall not be an accountable fee of office.
HB 705 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Article of the 1925 Revised Civil Statutes; making adequate provision for compensation of Court Reporter to be appointed by the Criminal District Attorney in any county having a population in excess of one hundred and fifty thousand (150,000) and less than excess of three hundred and fifty-five thousand (355,000) inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal Census, and which alone constitutes two or more judicial districts.
