SB 7 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute changing the status of John Tarleton Agricultural College from a Junior College to a standard four-year college; changing the name of North Texas Junior Agricultural, Mechanical & Industrial College at Arlington to the name of North Texas Agricultural College.
SB 8 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Article relating to providing that the governing body of any political subdivision of this State shall prepare or cause to be prepared semiannually a report of all transactions during each half of the year, concerning the finances of such political subdivision; providing penalties for the violation or failure of any official, officer, or employee to comply with the provisions of this Act.
SB 41 Caption: Relating to facilitating the cooperation of this State with other units of government, and establishing the Texas Commission on Interstate Cooperation.
SB 106 Caption: Relating to defining publication, newspaper, political sub-division, district and certain mandatory expressions; fixing a minimum and a maximum charge for publications in newspapers; providing for the publication of notices, proclamations, advertising, and citations in newspapers.

SB 227 Caption: Relating to declaring the policy of the State in regard to the extension and development of free public library service in a parts of the State; providing for a Texas Library and Historical Commission.
SB 282 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute providing the intent and purpose of law to safeguard public health and safety through the regulation of the construction, erection, installation, alteration, removal, repair, and maintenance of all piping, fitting, and fixtures for conducting, distribution, and/or use or disposal of any water sewage or gas in certain locations; providing a penalty.
SB 283 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act providing that the Governing Board of several institutions, supported in whole or in part by the State, shall cause to be collected from students registering in said schools, additional tuition for instruction in the Fine Arts Departments, Schools, or Colleges.
SB 310 Caption: Relating to making appropriations for State Aid to the free public libraries of this State, and for the salaries and other expense of the Division of Public Libraries of the Texas State Library, for the years beginning September 1st, 1939, and ending August 31, 1941.
SB 354 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Article of the Code of Criminal Procedure to provide for payment of half costs accruing to officers and witnesses in misdemeanor cases in certain instances.
SB 355 Caption: Relating to providing for additional traveling expenses for County Superintendents of Public Instruction in counties of Texas having a population of not less than fifteen thousand seven hundred twenty-five (15,725) and not more than fifteen thousand seven hundred seventy-five (15,775) according to the last preceding Federal Census.
SB 423 Caption: Relating to validating bonds to certain school districts in certain counties with a certain scholastic population.
SB 471 Caption: Relating to requiring the Board of Regents of the University of Texas to levy Student Union Fees; providing for the control of the money obtained from said fees.
SB 476 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioners' Court in any County having a population of not less than fifteen thousand seven hundred (15,700) and not more than fifteen thousand seven hundred seventy-seven (15,777) according to the last preceding Federal Census, to allow each County Commissioner certain traveling expenses while traveling on official business.
SCR 23 Caption: Authorizing appropriation from the contingent expense fund to pay for a portrait of Governor James V. Allred to be placed in the rotunda of the Capitol.

SB 60 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00), or so much thereof as may be necessary, out of any funds in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the State Tax Board to pay the expenses of the supervisory staff of the Statewide Tax Survey now being conducted in this State as a Work Progress Administration project.
SB 61 Caption: Relating to giving the State Board of Dental Examiners the authority to refuse to grant a license to certain persons; providing penalties.
SB 97 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation for John Tarleton Agricultural College, a branch of Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, for the purpose of erecting a water tower on the campus of said college to be used by it.

SB 399 Caption: Relating to authorizing the incorporation of insurance companies for the purpose of writing, and authorizing companies to write, insurance against any hazard which may lawfully be made the subject of insurance.
SB 489 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum rate of tax to be levied for school purposes in all Independent School Districts which include within their limits a city or town which according to the latest Federal Census had a population of not less than four thousand seven hundred fifty (4,750) and not more than four thousand eight hundred fifty (4,850), whether organized under General or Special Law.
