SB 86 Caption: Relating to requiring notice to all parties before entering judgment nunc pro tunc.
SB 177 Caption: Relating to amending certain Statutes relative to changing the time and terms of holding the Third District Court in Anderson, Henderson and Houston Counties, constituting the Third Judicial District of Texas.
SB 236 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts so as to provide that in time of war and for twelve months thereafter time spent by members of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas in the Armed Forces Reserve shall not be construed as absent from service but shall count towards membership service under the Act.
SB 323 Caption: Relating to authorizing the State Board of Control to purchase real property and improvements from any person, firm, or corporation having such property for sale at a cost of not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) Dollars for such real property, improvements, and equipment; directing the examination and approval of title by the Attorney General; directing an appraisal of any such property prior to purchase by a competent engineer and architect; directing the use of such institution for the feeble-minded.

SB 377 Caption: Relating to providing that all school buses shall be painted in the colors red, white and blue, in a distinctive design as herein described; prohibiting the transportation of school children in any vehicle not so painted; providing a penalty.
SB 427 Caption: Relating to defining the jurisdiction of the County Court of Navarro County and diminishing its civil jurisdiction; providing that the District Court of Navarro County shall have jurisdiction in all civil matters over which by law the County Court would have original jurisdiction; providing for the transfer of certain civil causes from the County Court to the District Court of Navarro County.

SB 122 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act allocating the occupation taxes levied and collected on oil produced within this State to pay the State's share of teachers retirement fund.
SB 185 Caption: Relating to extending to August 31, 1939 all provisions relative to the expenditure of funds already collected under the provisions of Senate Bill No. 47, Acts 1937, Forty-fifth Legislature.
SB 228 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute to authorize employers to apply to the Industrial Accident Board for a permit to become self-insurers.
SB 229 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute relating to the examination of insurance companies by one or more examiners and to require free access to all books and records of companies.
SB 230 Caption: Relating to providing that if any Judge of the Supreme Court, of the Court of Criminal Appeals, or of any Court of Civil Appeals, or any District Court in this State shall request, recommend to, or endorse any person for any position or office in this State the salary of which is paid in whole or in part by the State, to the person or officer charged with the duty of filling such position or office, he shall be deemed and held to be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction be punished by a fine not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) and shall be removed from office.
SB 296 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute by providing that where the insurance carrier becomes insolvent or financially unable to discharge its obligations under the provisions of this Act, that such employer shall be substituted for said insurer and pay the benefits provided by this Act.
SB 297 Caption: Relating to authorizing the execution by teachers and school employees of valid assignments of salaries or wages, or any interest therein, as security for indebtedness.
SB 315 Caption: Relating to forbidding designating of certain insurance companies as prerequisite for obtaining loans.

SB 47 Caption: Relating to establishing a Teachers' Retirement System of Texas.
SB 94 Caption: Relating to providing for the appointment of a Special Commissioner to serve with and assist a Court of Civil Appeals where a member thereof shall be disabled by illness, or otherwise, and whose disability shall be certified to the Governor, by the Chief Justice of said Court, or by any two (2) members thereof, providing for the powers and compensation of such Commissioner.
SB 175 Caption: Relating to providing for the disposition of fees collected, and to be collected, from applicants for teacher's certificates, and schools applying for aproval under the provisions of certain statute, by placing same in the General Revenue Fund of the State of Texas.
SB 185 Caption: Relating to appropriating Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) per year, or so much thereof as may be necessary for the next biennium beginning September 1, 1938, and ending August 31, 1939, for the purpose of promoting public school interest and equalizing the educational opportunities afforded by the State to all children of scholastic age within the State, including specified amounts to match Federal Funds appropriated for the purpose of conducting work in Vocational Agriculture, Home Economics, Trades and Industries, General Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation for Crippled and Defective Children, attaching conditions, regulations and limitations relative thereto.
SB 205 Caption: Relating to authorizing and requiring the Board of Regents or the governing body of each State institution of higher learning in the State of Texas to provide a State Book Depository for students enrolled in each institution beginning September, 1937.
SB 211 Caption: Relating to providing for the creation of the office of the Commissioner of Education of the State of Texas, fixing the qualification of the Commissioner of education, his salary, and his term of office, abolishing the office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction of the State of Texas, transferring all the duties imposed by law upon the State Superintendent of the State of Texas at the time this Act goes into effect to the Commissioner of Education; providing that this Act be effecting from and after the second Monday in December, A. D. 1938.
SB 246 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation to pay accrued interest on bonds of the State of Texas held by the Permanent School Fund of the State.
SB 251 Caption: Relating to creating a School Land Board, to be composed of two members of the State Board of Education and the Land Commissioner, to provide for the sale and lease by said Board of all unsold lands set apart by the Constitution and the Laws of Texas for the benefit of the Permanent School Fund, including escheated lands and lands otherwise recovered for the State, and the minerals therein and thereunder and all the minerals in islands, lakes, and bays, and other areas within tidewater limits, and in the river beds and channels.
SB 390 Caption: Relating to apportionment of the general school fund by the county treasurer.
SB 391 Caption: Relating to deposit of the Available School Fund.
SB 392 Caption: Relating to providing that the mortgagor and mortgagee in any deed of trust or other written instrument granting a contract lien upon real estate may agree therein that upon foreclosure the real estate may be sold in some county other than the county or counties in which such real estate, or a part thereof, is located.
SB 393 Caption: Relating to making an emergency appropriation to the State Health Department out of the General Fund in the State Treasury.
SB 456 Caption: Relating to providing relief for the Brownsboro Independent School District of Henderson County, Texas, in replacing furniture and other fixtures destroyed by a disastrous fire on February 5, 1936.
SB 462 Caption: Relating to specifying forms and kinds of personal property that shall be reserved to every family, exempt from attachment or execution and every other species of forces sale for the payment of debts.

SB 19 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum rate of tax to be levied for school purposes in all independent school districts which include within their limits a city or town which according to the last Federal Census had a population of not less than four hundred (400) and not more than four hundred and fifty (450), and being a consolidated independent school district containing not less than ten original school districts, whether organized under General or Special Law.

SB 2 Caption: Relating to authorizing cities or towns in this State of a population of not less than 15,100, or more than 15,250, according to the last preceding Federal Census, such cities having exclusive control of the schools within its limits, to hold elections for the purpose of applying bond monies already dedicated to public improvements to purposes other than those for which the bond election was authorized or to repurchase and cancel such bonds.
SB 12 Caption: Relating to providing that in counties having a population of not less than forty thousand nine hundred and five (40,905) and not more than forty-one thousand (41,000) according to the last preceding Federal Census, the County Judge may appoint a court stenographer to be called and known as the official County Court Reporter of the County Court.

SB 116 Caption: Relating to regulating license fees for the registration of motorcycles and passenger cars; reducing such license fees on passenger cars.
SB 148 Caption: Relating to creating an administrative board, to be known as The State Highway Commission, to be appointed by the Governor of Texas, with advice and consent of the Senate of Texas, one from each State Highway District (defined and created in this Act) and to serve for terms of two years and, thereafter, one of each members to be elected by the qualified voters of each such State highway district for terms as provided for in this Act.
SB 173 Caption: Relating to providing that any insurance money payable under a policy or policies issued under certain statute shall be applied as far as necessary to cancel any debt against the assured held by the beneficiary or growing out of any transaction between assured and the beneficiary, provided the beneficiary is reimbursed for all premiums and interest paid.
SB 428 Caption: Relating to creating a Board of Parole and Pardons; providing for their appointment, their term of office, their duties and their compensation.
SB 431 Caption: Relating to making it unlawful to use, keep, exhibit or in any manner to be interested in using, keeping or exhibiting, on or about his premises, or place of business, any table, marble machine or device used, played or operated by the insertion of a coin or metallic slug therein; fixing penalties.
