SB 187 31-0 (1909) Relating to ratifying, approving and confirming a certain contract of lease between County of Galveston of the first part, Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company, Galveston, Houston and Henderson Railway Company, Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway Company of the second part, and Galveston-Houston Electric Railway Company of the third part, relating to Galveston causeway, and a certain memoranda of agreement executed by Galveston county, Gulf, Colorado and Sante Fe Railway Company, Galveston, Houston and Henderson Railroad Company and Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway Company, construing Articles XVII and XXI of said contract of lease, and to amend an act entitled "An Act to authorize Galveston county to build and own the combination roadway and bridge from mainland to Galveston Island across Galveston Bay, to connect, as part of the roadways of the county on the island and mainland and the county to issue bonds for same on taxation; also establishing three-mile limit and condemnation proceedings and providing for the right of way."
SB 240 31-0 (1909) Relating to defining what shall be a full crew on passenger trains, run by railroad companies or receivers of railroad companies in this State, what shall be a full crew on freight, gravel or construction trains run by such railroad companies or receivers and what shall be a full crew on light engines run by such railroad companies and receivers; providing for certain cases to which the Act shall not apply; imposing a penalty for each violation by any railroad company or receiver of any of the provisions of the act.
SB 24 31-1 (1909) Relating to declaring corporations, receivers, or other persons operating railroads in this State, to be liable to employees for injuries received through the negligence of such employer, officer, agent or servant, or in the case of death from such injury, to be liable to the surviving widow and children, or husband and children and mother and father of the deceased; and if none, then of the next of kin dependent upon such employees.
HB 5 31-2 (1909) Relating to providing for completion by the Penitentiary Board of Commissioners of the railroad now owned by the State of Texas at the Rusk penitentiary, for its maintenance, equipment and operation.
HB 39 31-2 (1909) Relating to conferring authority upon the Railroad Commission of Texas to require railroad companies reaching the same city or town in this State to construct and maintain joint or union passenger depots; providing penalties.
SB 13 31-2 (1909) Relating to requiring railroad companies to provide adequate and suitable passenger and freight depot buildings at their several stations and requiring them to keep all their passenger depots well lighted and warmed for the comfort and accomodation of the traveling public, and giving the Railroad Commission power to require compliance with this Act.
SB 17 31-2 (1909) Relating to amending Article 642 of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1895, by amending subdivision 61 thereof, authorizing the formation of corporations for the construction and operation of interurban electric, gas or gasoline, denatured alcohol, or naphtha motor railways.
SB 6 31-4 (1910) Relating to amending Articles 4549 and 4550, Chapter Eleven, Title XCIV, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, and prescribe the conditions upon which the purchaser or purchasers, and associates, if any, of the property and franchises of a railroad company may become owners of its charter, or may organize a new corporation, and governing, regulating and limiting the stocks and bonds of the new corporation, and of the old corporation, after the sale of its property and franchises.
HB 52 30-0 (1907) Relating to requiring all railway corporations, or receivers, or lessees operating a line of railway in the State of Texas, to equip its locomotive engines with electric headlights of not less than 1500 candle power without the aid of a reflector, and providing a penalty for the violation of this act.

HB 327 30-0 (1907) Relating to requiring railroads to report under oath rolling stock operated by them under rental, hire, lease or other form of contract, and to give name and address of true owner.
HB 336 30-0 (1907) Relating to providing for an eight hour day for railroad, telegraph or telephone operators, and providing penalties for the violation thereof.
HB 364 30-0 (1907) Relating to prohibiting any corporation or receiver operating a line of railway in whole or in part in the State of Texas, or any officer, agent or representative of such corporation, or receiver from requiring or knowingly permitting any conductor, engineer, fireman, brakeman, train dispatcher or telegraph operator who has been on duty for fourteen consecutive hours, to perform any work until he has had, at least eight hours off duty, except in certain cases, and to prohibit any such corporation or receiver, or any officer, agent, or representative thereof from requiring or knowingly permitting any such employee who has been on duty for fourteen consecutive hours, and who has gone off duty to again go on duty, or perform any work for such corporation or receiver until he has had at least eight hours off duty, and providing penalties for violation of this Act, and prescribing the venue of suits and prosecutions thereunder.
HB 398 30-0 (1907) Relating to requiring railroad companies chartered under the laws of the State of Texas and doing business in this State to purchase sufficient rolling stock and motive power to handle all passenger and freight traffic comfortably, expeditiously and without unreasonable delay and conferring authority upon the Railroad Commission of Texas to require compliance with the provisions of this Act, and prescribing penalties for their failure to do so or to observe orders made therein by the Railroad Commission of Texas.
HB 481 30-0 (1907) Relating to conferring upon the Railroad Commission of Texas the power to make temporary freight and passenger rates, whenever an emergency arises the sufficiency of which shall be judged by said Commission, in order that justice may be done or injury prevented to any person, place or locality; and to suspend temporarily any existing freight or passenger rate and to establish temporarily any freight or passenger rate where none exists.
HB 499 30-0 (1907) Relating to authorizing the Texas Midland Railroad to construct and operate a certain switch.
SB 6 30-0 (1907) Relating to authorizing the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company to purchase the railroads and all other properties of the Texas and Gulf Railway Company now owned and hereafter acquired, and to operate the same under the charter of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company, and as part of its own lines, and to extend the said railroads and to construct branches therefrom by amendment to its charter under the general laws of the State of Texas.
SB 7 30-0 (1907) Relating to authorizing the Southern Kansas Railway Company of Texas to take up and abandon that part of its track and roadbed extending from Washburn to Panhandle, and, in lieu thereof, locate, construct, maintain and operate its road on a line extending direct from Panhandle to Amarillo.
SB 8 30-0 (1907) Relating to prohibiting railway companies, street railway companies, interurban railway companies or any other chartered common carrier or transportation companies or express or sleeping car companies, or telegraph or telephone companies or the receiver or lessees thereof, or their officers, agents or servants in this State from carrying persons free of charge or carrying property free of charge or transmitting messages free of charge or giving to or for any person or passenger a free pass or authority to travel or pass free or to have property of messages transported free over any line or lines owned, operated or controlled by any such company in this State, and naming certain persons who are excepted from the prohibition; providing for prosecutions, fixing venue of suits, and appropriating any penalties that may be collected hereunder.
SB 33 30-0 (1907) Relating to conferring the power of eminent domain upon interurban electric railway companies.
SB 153 30-0 (1907) Relating to providing that unless the Texas & New Orleans Railroad or the purchaser of certain properties therefrom shall within two years from the passage of this act construct, operate and maintain a railway from a connection with the line of said Texas & New Orleans Railroad Company to the State Penitentiary at Rusk in Cherokee County, that then in that event all the rights, powers, privileges, and franchises conferred by Chapter 19 of the Special Acts of the Twenty-ninth Legislature shall be withdrawn and held for naught; authorizing the Texas & New Orleans Railraod Company or the purchaser of that portion of its line extending from Dallas in Dallas County to Sabine Pass in accordance with the provisions of said act to construct, own and operate such railway or to so amend its charter as to authorize it so to do.
