SJR 16 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Section 51 of Article III of the Constitution of the State of Texas by changing the tax levy for aid to Confederate Veterans and their widows from seven cents to two cents on the one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuation, and authorizing the Legislature to levy an ad valorem tax not to exceed five cents on the one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuation for the purpose of creating a special fund for the construction of permanent improvements at the state supported institutions of higher learning, exclusive of the Main University of Texas, the State Medical Branch, and the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas; providing for the necessary proclamation, form of ballot, publication, and date of election, and making an appropriation to defray the necessary expenses of proclamation, publication, and holding the election.

SB 316 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act awarding permanent teachers' certificates to persons who taught for four or more years and who can furnish evidence of successful experience in teaching in the public schools for six or more sessions subsequent to September 1, 1910.
SB 317 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act which became effective on March 7, 1941 for the purpose of correcting a clerical error made during passage of the bill validating notices for contracts.

SB 48 Caption: Relating to validating certain transfers of land between the Evans Common School District No. 7 to the Mullin Independent School District and the Jones Valley Common School District in Mills County, Texas.
SB 49 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute making Comptroller's report or audit of natural gas and casinghead gas tax liability prima facie evidence of certain facts.
SB 50 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute declaring it unlawful to remove crude oil from a lease if operator has failed or refused to file production reports.

SB 110 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute to provide for the election of two Justices of the Peace in Justice Precincts containing a city of eight thousand (8,000) inhabitants or more, upon petition of five hundred (500) qualified voters residing within such precinct to the Commissioners' Court of the County in which such precinct is located.
SB 162 Caption: Relating to providing for the execution of an agreement to extend the Interstate Compact to Conserve Oil and Gas two years from September 1, 1939.
SB 179 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act providing for refund of tax upon motor fuel used for purposes other than use in a motor vehicle operated upon the public highways, roads, or streets of the State of Texas, and requiring any person who sells motor fuel upon which a refund of the tax is authorized to secure license from the Comptroller before making sale of such refund motor fuel.
SB 212 Caption: Relating to creating the Lower Concho River Water and Soil Conservation Authority as a body politic and corporate, defining its boundaries.
SB 287 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act to provide for the funding of certain outstanding road and bridge obligations of McCulloch County, Texas, not to exceed a total principal amount of Sixty-nine Thousand ($69,000.00) Dollars.
SB 337 Caption: Relating to prohibiting catching and retaining perch or catfish of less than certain specified lengths.
SB 468 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act providing for the registration and licensing of Registered Tuberculosis Nurses (R.T.N.), who are graduates of the State Tuberculosis Sanatorium School of Nursing, requiring three years' training for future graduates.
SB 491 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to aid and facilitate the work to be performed by the Upper Colorado River Authority.
SB 493 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Act extending the time within which Upper Colorado River Authority may qualify for Federal assistance.
SJR 1 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment to provide that the qualification of no person to serve as juror shall be denied or abridged on account of sex.

SJR 9 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the Commissioners' Court of each county to levy annual taxes on all property subject to taxation in such county, not exceeding Ten (10) Cents on the One Hundred ($100) Dollar valuation for the purpose of creating a fund for the relief of poor and indigent persons who are bona-fide residents of the county.
SJR 13 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment providing that all revenues in excess of the cost of collection accruing to the State from charges or taxes with respect to the operation of motor vehicles or the sale or consumption of motor vehicle fuels shall be used exclusively for the construction and maintenance of public highways.

HB 149 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute providing for the appointing of and sitting as a Board of Equalization for cities and towns of the state of Texas, so as to allow members of the City Council to sit on the board of Equalization.
HB 224 Caption: Relating to validating all ad valorem tax levies heretofore made by incorporated cities and towns in the State of Texas which levies are unenforceable because of failure of the governing body of each respective incorporated city and town to make such levy by ordinance, and which are unenforceable because of the failure of such governing bodies to appoint the Statutory Board of Equalization, or where the City Council, City Commission, or other governing body of such incorporated city or town has acted as a Board of Equalization in the fixing of the valuation of taxable property for ad valorem taxes within any such incorporated city or town.
HB 258 Caption: Relating to creating Firemen's Relief and Retirement Fund in the State of Texas and in all cities, towns, and villages thereof having a regularly organized fire department with fire fighting equipment or apparatus of the value of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or more therein.
HB 395 Caption: Relating to authorizing elections to determine whether livestock shall run at large in Irion County.
HB 412 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute governing the creation of Junior Colleges by providing that a proposed district may have less than seven thousand (7,000) scholastic enrollment but not less than five thousand (5,000), provided the site of such college is more than seventy-five (75) miles from any other Junior or Senior College supported by public taxes, and provided that the State Board of Education finds that the proposed district is in a growing section and that there is a public convenience and necessity for such Junior College.
HB 511 Caption: Relating to providing for the execution of an agreement to extend the Interstate Compact to Conserve Oil and Gas.
HB 526 Caption: Relating to providing that offenses committed or prosecutions begun under pre-existing laws may be conducted under the law as it existed at the time the offense was committed.
HB 527 Caption: Relating to permitting sale of gasoline for domestic purposes, similar to kerosene and distillate.
HB 740 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation from the Treasury of the State of Texas from any funds, not otherwise appropriated, to the Upper Colorado River Authority.
HB 817 Caption: Relating to providing the maximum and excess fees which all officers named herein shall be entitled to receive and retain, and the disposition to be made of the remainder.
HB 842 Caption: Relating to requiring every person having cattle, hogs, sheep or goats to brand or earmark the same and to register such brand or earmark with the County Clerk of the county where such cattle, hogs, sheep or goats shall be and in certain other counties, on or before January 1, 1938, and every five (5) years thereafter.
HB 974 Caption: Relating to the jurisdiction of the County Court of Sterling County, conferring upon said Court civil and criminal jurisdiction, and increasing the criminal and civil jurisdiction of said Court.
HB 1087 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum rate of tax to be levied for school purposes in certain independent school districts.
HB 1166 Caption: Relating to changing the terms of court of Sterling County.
HJR 36 Caption: Proposing to amend Article V of the Constitution of the State of Texas, by repealing the Sections creating and organizing the Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeals, and the Courts of Civil Appeals of this State, and adopting new sections in lieu thereof, reorganizing the Supreme Court, and the court of Criminal Appeals; and abolishing the Courts of Civil Appeals.
HJR 44 Caption: Proposing to amend Section 3 of Article VII of the Constitution of Texas by providing that certain revenues derived from State Occupation and poll taxes shall be set apart for the available school fund, and for the permanent school fund.
HJR 45 Caption: Proposing to amend Section 9 of Article VIII of the Constitution by authorizing the commissioners court of each county to levy annual taxes on all property subject to taxation in such county, not exceeding ten (10) cents on the One Hundred ($100.00) Dollar's valuation for the purpose of creating a fund for the relief of poor and indigent persons who are bona-fide residents of the county.

HB 36 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the selection of qualified jurors in certain counties as shown by the tax lists in the Tax Assessor's office for the current year, by providing that after the effective date of this Act, the provisions of said statute shall not apply to counties containing, according to the last preceding Federal Census, a population of not less than twenty-five thousand (25,000) and not more than thirty-seven thousand and five hundred (37,500) and containing a city with a population, according to the last preceding Federal Census, of more than twenty-five thousand (25,000).
HB 76 Caption: Relating to validating, ratifying, confirming and legalizing all Time Warrants heretofore authorized by the governing bodies of Independent School Districts in the State of Texas having a scholastic enumeration of not less than 769 and not more than 775 according to the last preceding scholastic enumeration, validating all proceedings heretofore had in connection with the issuance of such Time Warrants, including the levy of and provision for a tax for the payment of principal and interest on said Time Warrants as the same mature, and authorizing such governing bodies of said Independent School Districts to do any and all things necessary and requisite in the issuance, sale and delivery of said Time Warrants.

HB 53 Caption: Relating to levying a tax on persons, firms, associations and corporations authorizing or issuing licenses, or agreements, for the public rendition of copyrighted musical numbers.
HB 84 Caption: Relating to diminishing the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the County Court of Glasscock County, to conform to the jurisdiction of the District Court thereof.
HB 133 Caption: Relating to amending the rural aid and equalization fund law by reallocating the moneys appropriated in said law, including specified amounts to match Federal Funds appropriated for the purpose of conducting work in Vocational Agriculture, Home Economics, Trades and Industries, General Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation for Crippled and Defective Children, attaching conditions, regulations and limitations relative thereto.

HB 66 Caption: Relating to providing for a closed season in Glasscock County, upon quail, doves, and pheasants, for a period of three (3) years.
HB 98 Caption: Relating to adding to amending certain statute prohibiting sale of fresh water fish in certain counties so as to add Tom Green County.
HB 176 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation to reimburse persons, firms and corporations for losses sustained during the years of 1929 through 1932 by reason of the establishment by the State of Texas of regulated and restricted zones in certain areas of the State requiring such persons, firms and corporations to pay money for the sterilization of seed and the fumigation of cotton.
HB 224 Caption: Relating to apportioning the State of Texas into Congressional Districts, naming the counties composing the same, and providing for the election of a Member of the Congress of the United States from each district, repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith.
HB 247 Caption: Relating to providing and imposing an occupation tax on the first sale, distribution or use of motor fuel in this State, defining certain words, terms and phrases for the purpose of this Act; providing and imposing certain penalties against and upon persons failing to comply with the terms of this Act.
HB 260 Caption: Relating to the speed of motor vehicles, shall not apply to fire patrols or motor vehicles operated by the fire department of any city, town or village responding to calls, nor to police patrols or physicians and/or ambulances responding to emergency calls.
HB 301 Caption: Relating to providing that in all suits, whether civil or criminal, or in matters of probate, pending in any court of this State at any time the Legislature is in session, it shall be sufficient grounds for continuance in such cause, if it shall appear to the court, by affidavit, that any party applying for such continuance, or any attorney for any party to such cause is a Member of either branch of the Legislature and is in actual attendance on a session of the same, and that the presence of party or attorney is necessary to a fair and proper trial of the cause.
HB 478 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the district court of the Thirty-second Judicial District so as to change the dates of convening the district court in the counties of the Thirty-second Judicial District of Texas.
HB 486 Caption: Relating to speeding up the disposition of claims filed with the Industrial Accident Board; giving the injured employees the right of appeal if the Board should fail or refuse to pass on claims within ninety days after they are filed with said Board; providing that failure to so appeal from such failure or refusal to act shall not prevent an appeal from a subsequent award.
HB 598 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute relating to the district court for the Thirty-second Judicial District so as to change the dates of convening the district court in the counties of the Thirty-second Judicial District of Texas; abolishing the Special District Court of the Thirty-second Judicial District of Texas; amending certain statute relating to the district court for the Seventieth Judicial District of the State of Texas so as to include Howard County in the Seventieth Judicial District, and to change the dates of convening of the district court in the counties of the Seventieth Judicial District.

HB 76 Caption: Relating to conferring authority on the State Highway Commission and/or County Commissioners' Court to purchase or condemn land for any new or wider right-of-way or for materials necessary or convenient to any highway in connection with the locating, relocating, maintenance, or construction of such highway and/or to acquire by purchase or by condemnation the use or acquisition of land not more than one hundred feet in width for stream bed diversion in connection with the locating, relocating, or construction of a designated state highway.
